Get to Know our Instructors: Lesley

Q: What keeps you inspired after teaching many classes?
A: The collective energy in the studio!

Q: What do you hope students feel when they leave your class?
A: I want students to leave feeling accomplished and more empowered in life. I want them to embrace the satisfaction of knowing they pushed through resistance to achieve something meaningful and I want them to bask in the endorphins they produced in the workout!

Q: How do you balance discipline and self compassion in your practice?
A: I always remind myself that health and wellness is a long game. It's not about what I got right or wrong one day, it's about what habits of movement, healthy living and mindfulness I'm fostering day-over-day.

Q: If you could give your students some advice, what would it be?
A: If you're attending classes at the studio regularly, you're already 'winning' at fitness. Cultivating the habit of showing up for yourself is the hard part. Once you lay down that foundation, the benefits of enhanced mobility, energy, fitness and strength will naturally emerge.

Get to Know our Instructors: Anna

Q: What inspired you to become a yoga and fitness instructor?
A: I bought a business (yoga studio) so I had to become a yoga instructor and I instantly fell in love with it. I have always loved fitness and it’s health benefits!!

Q: What’s one healthy habit you think everyone should practice daily?
A: Daily movement, just move your body!

Q: What’s your go-to stretch or exercise when you only have 5 minutes?
A: 90/90 stretch, cat & cow, and Incivility movement stretch.

Q: What is one word that describes your teaching style?
A: One word to describe my teaching style would be informative.

Q: What’s the most challenging thing about teaching?
A: To clearly communicate your point and express what you actually mean.
