Get to Know our Instructors: Anna

Q: What inspired you to become a yoga and fitness instructor?
A: I bought a business (yoga studio) so I had to become a yoga instructor and I instantly fell in love with it. I have always loved fitness and it’s health benefits!!

Q: What’s one healthy habit you think everyone should practice daily?
A: Daily movement, just move your body!

Q: What’s your go-to stretch or exercise when you only have 5 minutes?
A: 90/90 stretch, cat & cow, and Incivility movement stretch.

Q: What is one word that describes your teaching style?
A: One word to describe my teaching style would be informative.

Q: What’s the most challenging thing about teaching?
A: To clearly communicate your point and express what you actually mean.

Exalted Warrior celebrates the strength found in flexibility by combining power with a peaceful opening. Reach back toward your roots while staying committed to your growth. To practice Exalted Warrior, start from Warrior II, flip your front palm and reach your front arm up and back toward the rear of your mat. Float your back arm above your back leg and shine side ribs to front of the room.

Q: What keeps you inspired after teaching many classes?
A: Watching the growth of the participants, as well as my own as a practitioner & instructor.

Q: Which class allows you to express your teaching style the best?
A: 20/20/20

Q: What do you hope students feel when they leave your class?
A: I want students to feel like they got what they wanted out of the class!

Q: How do you balance discipline and self compassion in your practice?
A: Listen to your own body and show up consistently.
