For patients with COPD, a simple oxygen mask can mean the difference between stability and crisis.
In a recent case study, a patient receiving oxygen through a traditional non-rebreather mask experienced CO₂ narcosis—caused by an insufficient flow rate that allowed exhaled CO₂ to build up inside the mask. Despite intervention, the patient never recovered.
These tragic outcomes remind us that oxygen therapy isn’t always straightforward—and that even routine interventions can carry hidden risks.
The Oxy₂Mask was designed to make oxygen delivery safer, simpler, and more adaptable.
Its open design continuously flushes exhaled CO₂ and supports a full FiO₂ range from 24% to 90%, reducing the need for mask changes or complex adjustments.
This COPD Awareness Month, we’re reinforcing a simple truth: not all oxygen masks are created equal—and safer delivery saves lives.
