You are just as important as everybody else 📢

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that being loving meant being selfless.

Being easy.
Understanding.
Flexible.
Available.

We learned to prioritize everyone else’s comfort while quietly abandoning our own needs.

That isn’t unconditional love.
That’s people-pleasing.

And people-pleasing often looks like caring about everyone else more than you care about yourself.

Real love does not require self-abandonment.

You are allowed to matter too.
Your needs count too.

Your voice belongs in the room too.
Sometimes healing begins the moment you realize you were never asking for too much.

You were just asking from an empty place.

Yes love and life requires sacrifice....but sacrifice is not the same as total self-abandonment.

Somewhere along the way, love became endurance.

Being patient.
Being understanding.
Being the bigger person.
Being the one who stays.

Even when it costs you your voice.

Your clarity.

Loving deeply is beautiful.
Losing yourself to prove it is not.

once.
It happens slowly.

You become the reliable one.

The calm one.

The one who remembers everything.
Manages everyone.
Keeps the peace.

And eventually, your attention is so focused outward that you stop noticing yourself entirely.

You’re not failing.
You’ve just spent too long being everything for everyone else.

And at some point, exhaustion becomes information.

Not weakness.
Not burnout.
Information.

Most of us didn’t burn out from responsibility.
We burned out from performing.
Smiling when something felt off.

Saying yes when our body said no.

Holding everything together so nobody noticed we were struggling too.

At some point, survival quietly became self-abandonment.

And we stopped hearing ourselves.

This is the part nobody talks about.

Some of the most respected psychologists in history believed there was more to being human than what science could measure.

They studied behaviour and the brain.
But they also understood something deeper.

That people are guided by meaning.
By instinct.
By an inner knowing that doesn’t always make logical sense.

We’ve been taught to ignore that part of ourselves.
To trust data over intuition.

Evidence over feeling.
But healing doesn’t happen through logic alone.
It happens when we learn to listen inward again.

That’s why I coach from an intuitive psychological lens.

Not instead of science.
But because being human is more complex than formulas and diagnoses.

You’ve just been listening to everyone except yourself.

Somewhere along the way, we learned to monitor ourselves constantly.

Be easier.
Be nicer.
Be less emotional.
Be more agreeable.
And now we call exhaustion normal.

The truth?
Nothing is wrong with us.
We’re just tired of abandoning ourselves to keep everyone else comfortable.
Coming back to yourself doesn’t look dramatic.

It looks quiet.
Honest.
And slightly unfamiliar at first.
That’s not failure.
That’s awareness.

You’re just inconvenient to people who were comfortable with your self-sacrifice.

When we stop over-explaining.
Stop smoothing everything over.
Stop shrinking to keep the peace.

The dynamic shifts.
And because we were once rewarded for being agreeable,
self-respect can feel like betrayal.

But it isn’t.
It’s what happens when self-abandonment ends.
Growth often feels uncomfortable before it feels aligned.

That doesn’t make us wrong.
It means we’re no longer disappearing.

It is because your body has been carrying things your mind keeps trying to explain away.

Most women think Monday fatigue is normal.
It is not.
It is a signal.

Your body tells you the truth long before you have the words for it.

the tightness in your chest

that is not “being tired.”
That is misalignment.
