Is your loved one experiencing a loss of appetite or refuses to eat? A loss of appetite is a challenge but with small and simple changes, some patience, creativity, and encouragement, it can be improved. Here are some things you can do to instill appetite.
1️⃣ Give small, nutritional, ready-to-eat snacks throughout the day.
2️⃣ Try to remove utensils if it’s hard to use or adapt to different types of utensils.
3️⃣ Serve high-nutrient foods in smaller portions instead of larger ones.
4️⃣ Create a daily meal or snack routine to encourage healthy eating habits.
5️⃣ Try to serve food and snacks at the same time every day.
6️⃣ Make foods that are easy to swallow and digest, such as smoothies and potages.
