Build your skills - we can help!
1️⃣ Check in with yourself!
Interrupt the pattern of negative beliefs - they are not serving you. Address your feelings, but also focus on the positive, and not ruminate on the negative.
2️⃣ Breathe. Deeply.
Breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth. Try this five slow times in a row, and you’re on your way to lower blood pressure, reduced anxiety, and more oxygen to your brain to think and plan clearly.
3️⃣ Prioritize Self Care
Drink water.
Get adequate sleep.
Stay Connected with the people you trust.
Take a quiet moment.
Eat some vegetables.
4️⃣ Move Your Body
Schedule 10 minutes in your day to wiggle or jiggle. Release those endorphins. Improve your mood. Reduce that anxiety.Might we suggest a quiet walk, or a dance party?
5️⃣ Spend Time In Nature
Start small if you need to - a minute just practicing your deep breathing on your front step. Work your way up to a forest walk. Smell that fresh crisp air.
6️⃣ Plan Your Holiday Schedule
Prepare your brain, and your days, with what’s to come. This skill may take extra practice, but will greatly reduce your stress. It doesn’t need to all be done at once.
7️⃣ Practice Thankfulness
This time of year is so difficult for so many. It may be that you need to be deliberate and thoughtful with your intentional thankfulness. Practice this skill, and you’ll reap the benefits further than New Years.
Gift yourself a fun holiday season. 🎁
