Life saved #4247! On June 23rd, 2025, a 1-year-old boy choked on a piece of steak during a seizure, leaving him unconscious. The child’s mother described the incident as follows: “My husband and I believe fully that the LifeVac saved him. We were eating steak, and it was cut into very small pieces. There were no obvious signs he was choking. It was completely silent. At first, my husband thought our son was just getting tired and dozing off, but then he noticed a change in his color. That’s when we realized something was very wrong. My husband handed me the LifeVac to use on our son while he called 911. As a parent, there’s no worse feeling than watching your child struggle and feeling helpless. But in that terrifying moment, we had LifeVac. Having this tool gave us a sense of control in a situation where everything felt out of our hands. I never would’ve imagined my husband and I could remain calm in such a frightening moment, but thanks to LifeVac we were able to act quickly and confidently. Within seconds, our son’s color returned, and he was breathing again. We are so grateful for LifeVac! It turned what could have been a tragedy into a moment of relief and overwhelming gratitude.”

Life saved #4220! On June 19th, 2025, a 3-year-old girl choked on a piece of steak. LifeVac successfully dislodged the food on its first attempt! The child’s mother described the incident as follows: "I kind of started to panic then but brushed it off and trusted that she knew how much she could handle and if it was too much, she would spit it out. Well, she didn’t. Instead, she swallowed it without chewing. I noticed her grabbing at her mouth she was turning kind of purple and drooling. I grabbed her out of her chair and started the back blows but they weren’t working. My husband ran to the room to grab the LifeVac." Our Story

The vision of LifeVac came from a story that Arthur Lih, founder and CEO of LifeVac, heard of a woman in a hospital weeping following the death of her young son.

The reason for his death was that a grape had become lodged in his windpipe and the Heimlich Maneuver did not work. Once he heard the story he set out to invent an apparatus that could clear an airway of a child in the event of choking and save lives.

Arthur, Dr. Brody, and a few close friends set out to bring LifeVac to the public by establishing a research and development facility located in Springfield Gardens, NY where we are producing the anti-choking device in order to bring the safest, simplest method to save a choking victim. Our goal is to save as many lives as possible throughout the world.
