🎶 What’s it like to join a clinical trial? 🎶
Turns out, it’s not as complicated as you might think.

Here are the 4 main things you’ll do 👇

1️⃣ 🧑‍⚕️ Medical checks → routine evaluations to keep you safe.
2️⃣ 💊 Study medication → take the trial drug under expert supervision.
3️⃣ 📝 Reporting → share how you feel, including any side effects.
4️⃣ 📚 Learning → get clear info on the trial and what to expect.

✨ Simply put: some visits are for tests, some are for medication, and some are just for sharing your experience.

💡 Pro tip: bring a book, music, or something fun — sometimes there’s a little waiting involved. 🎧📖

September is Alopecia Awareness Month.💙

Alopecia is an autoimmune condition that causes hair loss sometimes in patches, sometimes across the whole scalp or body. While it doesn’t cause physical pain, it often leads to feelings of shame, anxiety, and self-consciousness.

At SimcoDerm, we’re standing with the alopecia community this month. Together, we can break the stigma, build understanding, and support research that leads to better treatments and, one day, a cure.

📸 Here’s our team showing support for patients and families living with alopecia.

Society spends a lot of time talking about current issues. But it’s easy to forget that billions of people live every day with substantial levels of pain. That’s why, in September, we raise awareness of pain.

💡 Chronic pain is more than “just discomfort”:
• 1 in 3 seniors in Canada lives with it.
• Up to 1 in 3 kids do, too.
• It costs our country as much as $60 billion every year.

For many — especially women, veterans, and Indigenous Peoples — pain is not only physical. It’s deeply tied to emotional health and social inequality.

✨ Raising awareness means reminding society that pain is real, life-altering, and worthy of action.
👉 Share this message. Together, we can break the silence around pain. 💙.

Sometimes medical care doesn't offer a great solution to skin disease. A severe case of eczema, for example, can continue to cause stress and burden despite the best efforts of dermatologists.

That's why we run clinical trials. It is the scientific way to determine the safety and effectiveness of new treatments. If you want to help us research potential new therapies for skin conditions call us at (289)763-8666 or visit www.simcoderm.com/clinicaltrials.
