Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner
Our NEW Nurse Practitioner Clinic provides accessible, high-quality healthcare services for individuals in need of timely medical attention for non-emergency conditions, without the long wait times typically associated with primary care or emergency room visits.
This clinic is designed to offer convenience and efficiency, with visits booked "By Appointment Only". The NP Clinic is currently open Mondays from 3:30pm to 7:00pm. NP Appointments in this clinic currently not covered under OHIP, but tests/labs are. NP appointment fees align with our 30m and 15m Physiotherapy fees.
Jennifer Grando is a Nurse Practitioner, a licensed healthcare provider with advanced training and expertise, delivering a wide range of services, including treatment for common illnesses, minor injuries, health screenings, and preventative care.
Services include, but not limited to:
• Women's Health Services including prolapse follow up and vaginal assessments, Cervical Screenings as per CCO guidelines
• Pessary cleanings and tissue assessment
• PAPs, abnormal discharge
• HRT, peri/menopause management
• IUD insertion/change, birth control
• Urinary incontinence management
• Prescriptions / Renewals (no controlled substances)
• Specialist Referrals
• Common infections including UTI, Upper Respiratory tract infections, skin irritations / rashes / infections
• Steroid joint injections for knees, GTB, wrist and thumbs for pain management
• Appts for Insurance forms/notes as required for coverage (dr's notes, Physio or Massage therapy) - $30

Jennifer’s nursing foundation was as a Registered Nurse at Sickkid’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 8 years. She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Nursing, as well as a Masters in Nursing and is trained as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Health Care.
Jennifer has worked as Nurse Practitioner for nearly ten years. Jennifer has a breadth of experience and interests across varying fields of interest. She started her career in Muskoka working in RV Clinic Van to provide primary care services to remote communities of unattached patients. After moving to Barrie, she worked in Rheumatology and then moved to Royal Victoria Hospital in Geriatrics.
Since 2020, Jennifer has worked in Hematology Oncology as Nurse Practitioner at Royal Victoria Hospital. She provides care to the inpatient hematology population, assists in consultations, hematology Toxicity Assessment Clinic and Chemosuite support.
She thoroughly enjoys her very fulfilling job, but is interested in establishing her independent practice in collaboration with GetMoving Physio, where her primary goal is to help individuals feel more comfortable in their bodies and promoting timely, convenient access to high-quality healthcare services.
