Ok, as promised, let’s talk about that picture I posted on my story yesterday and with all of the vials on my BIE machine. Anyone who knows me well knows that hot flashes have been the one symptom that’s been the most challenging for me through his perimenopause journey. I’ve had times where they’ve been better and times when they’ve been worse. Acupuncture has helped to settle them, reducing sugar and grains has also helped and being careful to not overwork makes them less intense but getting back into the swing of market prep has required some overwork lately and as a result they’ve been worse again 🥵 After a particularly rough morning of peeling layers and putting them back on again yesterday I said “ that’s it, I’m so done with these hot flashes!!!” I was done just accepting that this is part of this stage of life. There’s a reason some women have them and some women don’t.
Shane McLean R.Ac and I got chatting and between his knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine (which I am so grateful for🙏) and me really thinking about what Hollie | Holistic Nutritionist | Perimenopause says about declining estrogen not being the cause of your symptoms but that it pulls back the curtain on what‘s really going on in your body. This makes so much sense to me because otherwise everyone with declining estrogen (which is all women in this stage of life) would have the same symptoms and we don’t. The long and the short of it is that as Shane and I chatted I was reminded that the thyroid regulates your internal temperature. He also shared something that he recently read about B1 having a role in temperature regulation as well so I thought I should do some muscle testing to make sure my body was recognizing these frequencies and guess what? It wasn’t! 💡 There are 30 different frequencies in my thyroid kit and my body wasn’t recognizing a single one 🤯 It also wasn’t recognizing B1!! No wonder my body can’t regulate temperature right now! I immediately put all of those frequencies on my machine, reintroduced them and now I am trying to practice patience and let my body do what it needs to do to bring itself back into balance 🧘
It may take a few sessions but I’ll keep you posted on how my body responds!
