Livita Barrington kicked off the beginning of the Labor Day Long Weekend with their annual Family BBQ.
A Fun filled day was had by all with Triple C Farms Petting Zoo, Corn Husking, a BBQ, Games, Music by the ParaGuinns and the releasing of the monarch butterfly.
With approximately 100 family members joining Residents there was lots of smiles and laughter throughout the building.

Mark your calendars for Livita Barrington's Fall Bazaar on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Over 15 vendors confirm from Baked Goods, Freeze Dried Candies, Handmade Items, clothing to flavored Coffee and Tea's.
Start your Christmas shopping early, or buy something for yourself, there should be something for everyone.

Residents and Staff of Livita Barrington have been learning about the life cycle of Monarch Butterflies this summer and the flight they are about to embark on. The highlight of the whole process was releasing them.

Livita Barrington enjoyed a visit from Rescue 1 at a Time.
The Rescue Volunteers brought 5 puppies that are currently up for adoption to visit with the Residents and Staff.
The puppies had residents laughing, smiling and reminiscing of the pets they had.
Each puppy who came for a visit received a stuffed animal toy from the Residents to go to their forever homes with.
Thank you Rescue 1 at a Time for taking time to make a difference in the Residents lives. We look forward to your next visit, hopefully in August.

July 23 is National Gorgeous Grandma Day. It's a day to celebrate and honor grandmothers, recognizing their beauty, wisdom, and the important role they play in our families.
The Livita Barrington honored our ladies with a Gorgeous Grandma Photo Shoot and invited families to come in and have photos taken with their loved ones. It was a fun filled morning of smiles and laughter.

We are still looking for Vendors for our Fall Bazaar on October 25th, 2025 from 10:00am-2:00pm.
Currently 10 vendors have confirmed participation.

Livita Barrington would like to wish Tina & Ted Sheehan a Happy 66th Wedding Anniversary.

They shared that they met when they were age 14, engaged at age 17, married at age 19 and moved into retirement living here at the age of 85.
They have 3 amazing children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. When asked the key to a happy marriage they said "It's not always happy, but the main foundation is commitment to each other"

I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream.
Is there any better way to show our Appreciation to the amazing staff at Livita Barrington, then with an Ice Cream Truck.
All Staff and their families were invited to enjoy a cool treat. Residents enjoyed one as well.
There was many smiles and laughter by all, especially because of the weather.

Fun Fact - A staff members cat is named Ice Cream, he came for an ice cream visit too today.

Residents enjoyed the first game of summer on the patio while enjoying some fresh air.
Next week its ladderball, followed by bocce ball and then washer toss.

Residents of Livita Barrington enjoyed their Canada Day preparing fresh strawberries for their homemade strawberry shortcakes with a musical afternoon of Canadian songs.
