Great news!

We’re happy to announce that applications for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) will open to all eligible Canadians aged 18 to 64 this May!

The online applications will open by age group as follows:
• May 1: 55 to 64 years old
• May 15: 18 to 34 years old
• May 29: 35 to 54 years old

Once applications open for eligible Canadians aged 18 to 64 years old, they will be able to apply online, by phone or by visiting a Service Canada Centre.

The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario has produced an information sheet to help dental hygiene clients understand new office protocols that have been put in place to make sure they receive safe dental hygiene care in response to COVID-19. The information sheet can be found on our website and is available in both English and French in a poster or handout version.

On May 26th the Public Health Officer of Ontario amended the directive which prohibit elective and non-essential health care service to now allow them to begin a slow and modified restart.
Dental and Dental Hygiene Colleges have now released their guidelines on safe return to work procedures. With these guidelines will come some steps to be taken by all Dental and Dental Hygiene office in order to complete their re-opening preparations.
I have shared a video in my previous post so you can have an idea of how things will go prior to, during, and after your next hygiene appointment with me.
I will be reaching out to those of you who are over due and coming due as soon as I have all new directives in place.
