I hope this update finds you well.
Currently, under the COVID-19 Government-declared State of Emergency and Directive #2, only Emergency or Urgent dental care is permitted in-person (with enhanced precautions). Sadly, Dental Hygiene and non-essential Dental services are still not permitted.
Yesterday the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) released their respective and collaborative guidelines for returning to practice.
These guidelines are evidence based and where the evidence is still limited or unclear, the Colleges have taken a precautionary approach that puts the safety of the patients, dental professionals and general public first.
Rest assured that I will be following and implementing these guidelines in preparation for and when I return to work when the Government declares that non-essential services can resume.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your oral health please feel free to contact me via email, phone or text and I will be happy to help or direct you in any way that I can.
Please keep following the guidance of our Public Health Officials by keeping within your family household when at all possible, keep your physical distance when out in public, wash your hands often, practise good cough/sneeze etiquette and wear a face covering when physical distancing isn’t possible.
(And this goes without saying, keep up with good brushing, curaproxing or flossing 🦷😉)
Take care and I look forward to seeing you again soon 💜
Linda
