How long does therapy take to “work”?
This journey is rarely a linear process.
There are ups and downs and twists and turns as we navigate the roads of our inner landscape.
We stop along the way to sight see and appreciate things we’ve previously overlooked.
We discover new facets of ourselves and allow ourselves the time and space to explore these new parts.
We backtrack… a lot. Because we need to process our experiences and feelings before looking ahead and moving on.
This journey can feel like a lot. But remember that it is 100% YOUR journey.
There is no timeline or deadline.
And small, subtle shifts are the key to progress that lasts.
Being there for yourself in the hard moments, that’s where real growth happens.
This journey is exciting. It is so worth it. And it’s completely yours. 🤍
Healing our wounds requires more than just self-help books and techniques…it needs a container. The relationship you create with your therapist should be a safe space for you to unpack experiences, challenge your old beliefs, and feel seen and heard.
The right therapist will create a container of safety and support so that you can blossom in your own time. At Words of Hope Counselling, we offer guidance through self-exploration so that life feels lighter, steadier, and easier to move through.
