5 Ways Naturopathic Medicine can help kids with ADHD:

1️⃣ 😴Sleep optimization - lifestyle changes, nutrition and supplements can help. Making a difference here can make a big difference in behaviours, mood and attention at school.

2️⃣ 💩Gut Health - managing concerns like constipation and gut microbiome balance makes a big difference for nervous system health.

3️⃣ 💊Mood Support - there are options out there beyond medication and this could be a place to start, when you are considering medications. Talk to me directly about how to use L-theanine or saffron.

4️⃣ 🌮Nutrient investigation via blood work. This is an option, if your child can withstand the needle at life labs. This can be really helpful for the picky eaters out there that may need to supplement with things like iron.

5️⃣ 🙋‍♀️Parent support - having a health professional that can take more time with you to cover questions and to discuss your concerns in more depth.

NEW BLOG for parents navigating ADHD 💛

If your child struggles with focus, big emotions, impulsivity, or feeling overwhelmed… you are not alone.

And you don’t have to choose between conventional support and natural care.

✨ Naturopathic medicine can play a powerful complementary role in ADHD care, helping support digestion, sleep, nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and day-to-day behaviour—while giving YOU the clarity you deserve as a parent.

I just published a new article on my website:

👉 “How Naturopathic Medicine Supports Kids with ADHD”

Read it at dryasmin.ca/blog

Inside, I break down:

✔ Why ADHD is more than attention issues.
✔ How gut health, sleep, and environment influence behaviour.
✔ What natural strategies can gently support kids.
✔ Why a team-based approach is best for growing brains.
✔ How naturopathic care empowers parents with tools and understanding.

If you’re looking for guidance that’s gentle, holistic, and rooted in child physiology, this is for you. 💛

🎃👻 3 Strategies to handle your kid’s Halloween Candy without being too rigid.

1️⃣ Realize Halloween isn’t just about candy. It’s about memories, joy and experiences.

2️⃣ Talk to your kids and guide them around the candy. Help them connect to how the candy makes them feel.

3️⃣ Set them up for success around candy. Like eating candy after a meal and having dinner before trick or treating.

Enjoy this fun, spooky time! 🎃👻

🌬 Asthma is more than inflamed airways—it’s often the result of hidden triggers that keep the immune system on high alert.

When I see kids with asthma, I work alongside their family doctor to:

✅ Identify & reduce root causes
✅ Support healthy lung function naturally
✅ Give you a plan you feel confident using

Because the goal isn’t just fewer flare-ups—it’s more play, more laughter, and more freedom for your child. 💛

Feeling nervous about all the Tylenol media?

There’s no question that is safe for kids.

Here’s when to use it for your child’s fever.

When to use Tylenol for a fever:

🤒 When your child is in pain and uncomfortable and unable to settle.
🤒 At bedtime, to help them get a deeper, more restful sleep. This helps them heal quicker.

When NOT🚫 to use Tylenol for a fever:

🚫 Not right away. Measure and monitor first.
🚫 Don’t give Tylenol when your child has a fever AND is eating, drinking and playing like they normally do.

I cover these details and more in my FREE 20min Fever Webinar for parents.
