🎉 Are you a CDCP member? That’s great news! 🦷

With CDCP, denture treatment is now more accessible — but here’s something important to know:

💡 CDCP only covers fees up to a set amount, and many dental and denture clinics may charge more than the coverage limit. This means you may be responsible for some out-of-pocket costs, depending on the clinic and treatment needed.

✅ Looking for an affordable option?
The Georgian College Oral Health Clinic offers high-quality denture care at lower costs.

This September, our clinic will welcome patients under the care of final-semester denturism students (6th semester), supervised by a licensed denturist and faculty member.

📞 Book your consultation today and be part of a meaningful learning experience — helping train the next generation of oral health professionals.
Thank you for your support!

"Everyone has a beginning."

These were the touching words of one of my clients.
She always greeted me with a warm smile and reassured me whenever I made a small mistake. Her kindness and encouragement gave me the confidence to keep learning.

I'm truly grateful for her patience, for respecting all the appointments, and for her generous understanding. Thanks to her, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the entire process of making casting partial dentures and performing denture repairs. I feel very fortunate to have worked with her.

Thank you for your dedication — I will never forget you.
Wishing you continued good health and happiness always :)

🛠️ When Does Your Denture Need a Repair? 🦷
Cracked? Loose? Missing a tooth? Or maybe a broken clasp? Don’t ignore the signs!

Even though dentures are made to be durable, they’re not indestructible — and small issues can turn into big problems if left unchecked.

🔍 Common reasons you might need a denture repair:
✔️ Cracks or fractures in the base
✔️ A tooth has broken or fallen out
✔️ The denture feels loose or uncomfortable
✔️ Broken or bent clasps (the metal parts that hold your denture in place)
✔️ Accidental drops (yes, it happens!)

⚠️ Trying to fix it yourself with glue? Please don’t!
It can damage the denture further or cause irritation in your mouth.

💡 A quick, professional repair can restore your denture’s function and comfort — and prevent the need for a full replacement.

📆 If your denture doesn’t feel or look right, especially if the clasp feels loose or damaged, it’s time to get it checked. Book a repair consultation today!

Now we're recruiting denture clients!

🦷 What Is a Denture Reline – And Why Might You Need One? 🇨🇦

Does your denture feel loose? Are food particles getting trapped underneath? It might be time for a denture reline!

So, what’s a denture reline?
Over time, the shape of your gums naturally changes due to bone loss and aging. A reline adjusts the inner surface of your existing denture to fit your gums more accurately using a new layer of material.

✅ Why is it important?
✔️ Improves fit and comfort
✔️ Reduces sore spots and slipping
✔️ Helps with chewing and speaking
✔️ Extends the life of your denture

Relining is not the same as getting new dentures — it's a cost-effective way to refit the denture you already have!

🔁 Most people need a reline every 2–3 years, or sooner if there are noticeable changes in gum shape.

If you’re not sure whether you need one, feel free to message me. I'm here to help you smile with confidence again! 😊

🦷 Missing All Your Teeth? A Complete Denture Might Be the Right Solution!
When someone has lost all their natural teeth — whether in the upper, lower, or both arches — a complete denture can help restore your smile, your confidence, and your ability to eat and speak comfortably.

😁 Why Get a Complete Denture?
- Replaces all missing teeth
- Helps you chew and speak more easily
- Supports your facial muscles and keeps your face from looking sunken
- Restores a natural-looking smile
- Removable and easy to clean

💡 Good to Know:
- It may take some time to get used to wearing them
- Regular check-ups help ensure a good fit
- Good oral hygiene is still important, even with full dentures!
- You may need occasional adjustments over time

✨ A well-made denture can give you back the confidence to smile, eat, and live your life fully.

If you're considering your options, please contact me at 249-388-1989 or OHVM054@georgiancollege.ca to find out if a complete denture is right for you!

Casting Partial Denture

🦷 Considering a Cast Metal Partial Denture? Here's What You Should Know! 🇨🇦

A Cast Metal Partial Denture is a removable dental appliance made with a strong metal framework and natural-looking replacement teeth. It offers a more secure and long-lasting solution compared to acrylic types.

✅ Benefits:
1. Strong & Durable – Long-lasting and resistant to breakage

2. Better fit – Custom metal framework gives a snug and comfortable fit

3. Thinner design – Feels less bulky in the mouth

4. More stable – Stays in place better during eating and speaking

💡Things to Consider:
1. Higher cost – More expensive than acrylic partials

2. Longer fabrication time – Takes more time to make due to custom design

3. Not easy to adjust – Harder to modify or add teeth later

4. Visible metal clasps – Some parts may show when smiling (depending on location)

✨ If you're looking for a long-term, comfortable solution for missing teeth, a cast metal partial denture could be the right choice!
Please contact me to explore your best options.

Acrylic Partial Denture

🦷 Thinking About Getting an Acrylic Partial Denture? Here's What You Need to Know! 🇨🇦

An Acrylic Partial Denture is a removable dental appliance used to replace one or more missing teeth. It has a pink acrylic base that sits on your gums, with replacement teeth attached. It's often used as a temporary or affordable option.

✅ Benefits:
1. Affordable – One of the most cost-effective tooth replacement options

2. Easy to adjust – Simple to repair or add more teeth later

3. Great as a temporary solution – Useful while waiting for a more permanent option (like implants)

💡 Things to Consider:
1. Less stable – May not feel as secure as other types (like metal-based dentures)

2. Bulky feel – Can feel thicker or more noticeable in the mouth

3. Not as durable – May break more easily than other types

4. Can affect speech or eating at first – Some adjustment period needed

✨ If you're missing teeth and wondering what your options are, an acrylic partial denture might be a great start!

Please contact me to find out what's best for you.
