We are thrilled to finally introduce the newest therapist to our team at Bona Fide Psychotherapy & Counselling! 💙

From Laura:
“ From a young age, I’ve felt a deep desire to help others and to make people feel truly seen and understood. While supporting others came naturally to me, asking for help myself was something I struggled with. As I moved into my teenage years, I began to notice ongoing patterns in my own mental health challenges including depression and anxiety. Receiving an ADHD diagnosis in my late teens became a pivotal moment as it gave me permission to better understand myself, extend compassion inward, and recognize that my experiences made sense. That journey shaped not only who I am, but also why I chose this field.

Through my own experiences, I’ve learned that some of the most meaningful moments in life happen when we are surrounded by people who help us feel safe, accepted, and understood. Those moments can be deeply healing. This understanding is at the heart of how I practice today. I truly believe that reaching out for help is one of the bravest and strongest things a person can do, and it’s truly an honour to be trusted with someone’s story during such
vulnerable moments.”
