Your recovery is about more than just the level and degree of your pain.

I also want to know how life is going. Because the process of healing and recovery also looks like:

- you are moving better
- you are walking more
- stairs are easier
- you are starting back to yoga
- you are sleeping better

You're on the right track. Keep going!

✨️ Wishing you health & happiness through the new year! ✨️Happy New Year! 🎉

What can you expect during your Physiotherapy Assessment?

We spend a fair amount of time talking about your pain and injury - I want to know how it started, and how things have been progressing since it started. I want to know about your pain - what it's like and what aggravates it.

We also go through some testing so I can get a better idea of your baseline measurements at the start of physio, as well as to determine what are all of the areas that are affected and impacted by the injury.

We start into treatment during this first appointment, and I will give you some homework. The homework will be a couple of exercises, as well as "go-to strategies" for you to start using at home immediately for self treatment.

Your initial follow-up appointment after this assessment is really important in order to further progress and fine-tune your therapy approach and home strategies based on how your body responds.
