🪷“The Path of Eight Limbs” An Ashtanga Inspired Class🪷
Thursdays, 6pm
Led by Jen

“Ashta” (eight) “anga” (limb)
A yogi does not just "do" yoga; we live and journey through these progressive stages:
Yamas: Universal ethics (non-violence, truthfulness).
Niyamas: Personal observances (purity, contentment).
Asana: The physical postures we practice in class.
Pranayama: Breath control to channel vital energy.
Pratyahara: Withdrawal of the senses to look inward.
Dharana: Intense concentration.
Dhyana: Uninterrupted meditation.
Samadhi: Enlightenment, or the realization of oneness.

The Hatha Approach: The Gateway to Spirit
In this class, we utilize the Hatha approach—the physical mastery of the body—as our entry point. There is a common misconception that the physical body is a distraction from the spiritual. In Ashtanga, we believe the opposite: the body is the laboratory.
By using the "Ha" (Sun) and "Tha" (Moon) energies to find balance, we use the physical asanas to:
Purify the vessel: Clearing toxins and nervous system "noise" that prevents deep meditation.
Build the "Container": Developing the strength and stillness required to sit in the higher limbs of concentration and bliss.
Bridge the Gap: Using the breath to connect our physical actions to our mental state.
Through the Hatha approach, the sweat becomes a sacred offering, and the alignment of the spine becomes a direct path toward inner harmony and enlightenment.

Breath-Linked Movement: Focus on Ujjayi breath to maintain focus.
Structured Sequence: A modified Primary Series flow to build heat.
Philosophy in Motion: Brief insights into how our poses mirror our life choices.
Whether you are looking to build a stronger body or a quieter mind, this class offers the tools to transform your mat into a mirror for your soul.

Join us in welcoming ✨KAYLEE✨ to our teaching team!

For the Barre class lovers, you are in luck! 😍 We are adding in a new class on Mondays at 4:45 pm (Dynamic Barre, 45 mins and heated), with Kaylee!

Get to know Kaylee 👇🏻☺️

"My name is Kaylee, I am a competitive dancer, dance instructor, Pilates instructor, and now barre instructor! Outside of exercising I love to travel, and attend festivals/concerts (a true fan girl at heart)!

Exercising and moving my body is very important to me and I love being able to project that love onto others through teaching.

For those who don’t know, barre is a workout blending ballet inspired movement, Pilates, yoga and strength training. I will be offering a heated Dynamic Barre which combines movements, with the goal to tone, strengthen and elevate heart rate. We will use a variety of props and weights, and have some work on the mat as well. Dynamic Barre is performed with a high energy music playlist! Anyone up for a challenge is welcome!! No prior experience is necessary. We will surely get on a sweat and pulse it out! 😉

I am so excited to be joining the team and working with you all. See you at the barre! "

Venez vous faire bercer au son de la voix dans une session unique de yoga Nidra, qui signifie le sommeil du yogi en sanskrit.

Un atelier en français, spécialement conçu pour introduire un Nidra approprié pour tous les niveaux. Nous survolerons la théorie de la pratique, les ondes cérébrales et les bénéfices associés. Ensuite nous plongerons dans une pratique hybride guidée à la voix et au tambour. Ressortez reposé et ancré dans votre corps. Peut-être même découvrir un nouvel amour de la tradition.
