If you are living with a Chronic Condition like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, lunch disease (or any chronic condition), you may benefit from attending our "Living a Health Life with Chronic Conditions" workshop. This workshop is run by one of our ConnectWell Registered Practical Nurses as well as a peer support volunteer. The ConnectWell-Renfrew County Child Wellness Hub is for children 0-5 without a family doctor or Nurse Practitioner including those without OHIP coverage. The goal is to ensure all children get the care they need for a healthy start in life.

At the Hub, families can get:
- Check-ups to track growth and development
- Vaccinations to protect against illness
- Screenings to check physical and mental development
- Mental health support for children and caregivers
- Health education

The Hub also connects families with other local programs to support their child’s development.

If a child is sick, the Hub’s rapid access clinic can help with:
- Ear infections
- Coughs and colds
- Vomiting
- Rashes

This program is a partnership between ConnectWell, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit, and the Renfrew County Youth Wellness Hub

On Wednesday, April 22 we will be at the Echo Centre (Eganville & District Seniors) running a Cooking Together session and there's still some spaces available! If you are interested in joining, please call 613-628-2354. All ages and skill levels welcome. We will cook through some healthy and delicious recipes and enjoy eating what we create together for lunch 🍴🍲

ConnectWell Community Health is a fully accredited charitable organization, governed by a community-based volunteer Board of Directors.

We focus on improving the health and well-being of individuals, families and the broader community. We provide a wide range of developmental and respite services, primary and allied health care, mental health and peer supports, and health promotion and community development initiatives across rural Lanark, Renfrew and Leeds and Grenville Counties. We pay special attention to the needs and concerns of people in our communities who are more vulnerable, marginalized or isolated.

We strive to create a board that reflects the diversity within our community, and we encourage applicants who come from equity-deserving groups to serve on our Board. Knowledge or experience in the following areas are considered assets in our recruitment efforts:
-Governance of charitable organizations
-Consensus building and decision-making
-Financial oversight and risk management
-Leadership qualities and experience

📣Calling all Eganville and area friends! pflag social time at the Bonnechere Union Library launches next Tuesday, Jan. 20th!
👉2SLGBTQ+ folks and loved ones are welcome to join us from 6 -7:30 pm in the Maker's Space, on the third Tuesday of each month. 🌈 We'll have snacks and things to keep hands busy. This month it's a Pride puzzle full of q***r history and culture!
