I've been having a little fun lately trying some wacky poses that have come up on my feed and thought I'd make a little series out of it 😜.

Hopefully this encourages you to try something new, but of course know your body and its limits. I tried a few other moves that just weren't happening, but I have bendy quads and good core strength, so this looked achievable.

With the first week of January coming to a close, if you are still feeling committed to those fitness resolutions, here are a couple "hard truths" about exercise that maybe no one has told you:

1. Consistency is key - doing an exercise routine once in a while won't get you results. True benefits come with consistent effort.

2. Consider your goals - do you just want to look good, or do you want functional strength to move through life and physical pursuits with ease? Because, there is a difference! You can look good, but have poor range of motion, and poor movement patterning, that still predispose you to injury.

3. Train for the goals you want to achieve - use a variety of positions, modes, and loads to achieve best outcomes while minimizing repetitive overuse injuries.
