Family Counselling Centres is a private practice that offers a variety of psychological services specific to counselling and psychological assessments. We offer a therapeutic space that provides a safe, warm, and trusting environment. We are unique in that clinicians put a strong emphasis on connections within the family systems, both past and present, rather than just the individual. The therapists are trained specifically in the treatment of children, adolescents, couples and families. We also recognize that traditional office based therapy is not for everyone, so we offer alternative methods of treatment-- some which are unique to Family Counselling Centres. More specifically, our clinicians specialize in sand play therapy, sand tray therapy, play therapy, filial models that build the parent-child relationship, EMDR (trauma-based therapy), animal assisted therapy (canine assisted therapy) and animal assisted play therapy (AAPT). Some filial models that our therapists specialize in include Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), Circle of Security and Theraplay. We offer an unconditional, respectful, gentle, and safe space to explore experiences and facilitate connections to inner strengths and creativity for healing. We are able to provide both direct billing to many insurance companies and EAP's. We offer a sliding scale for those without insurance coverage
