I Can Do It Have you ever wanted something very badly but did not have the tools to make it happen? Now I have those tools and I want to share them with others.

Today I watched and listened to the General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I saw a living prophet speak the words of Jesus Christ for our day. All the messages during Conference are helping the world find greater happiness through faith in Christ and making covenants with Him.

My son was hurt in a car accident at the end of October. I left home to come look after him. My life since has been filled with miracles and tender mercies of the Lord. The more I look around me the more I see how kind and supportive our Saviour Jesus Christ is. He doesn't always remove our trials when we ask, but He comforts us while we are going through them and He makes us big enough to handle them. And sometimes He actually makes miracles happen! I haven't been able to see well enough to drive at night for many years. But when I needed to see to drive home from the hospital each night, I've been able to see, just like I used to 5-10 years ago. This is a miracle! I'm so grateful to a loving God who still hears and answers our prayers.

I had my hip replaced a couple of years ago and because it was so badly worn out I had been on crutches for months before the surgery. Consequently I had almost no muscle strength in that hip. I could not move that new hip. I had to learn to lift my leg into bed, walk and balance all over again. It took months before I could walk across the room unaided by even a cane. Sometimes we take for granted the simple things, like getting up from a chair and walking across a room. But I will never take the freedom of having both hands free of walking aids again. I'm grateful for my mobility.
