We are in a new season personally, which means for the next year or so I will be taking it very slow (given I really do focus and can commit to this slowness). My beautiful little boy is needing me the most now more than ever. I need to be present. I need to be patient. I need to put him at the top of my priorities. So as a creative that means putting my art to the side... For now. I will still be beading and sewing and doing things very slowly as it will forever be an outlet. There might be possible work in the future here and there as life will be much tighter financially. Markets are at a standstill for now because it takes me a lot to gear up for one. Thank you so much for every last one of you still here and still loving my work. I've worked my butt off for the last few years and I appreciate the growing support. I've bumped into quite a few artists and friends I've made along the way at things like the art walk and other markets and I truly feel the love when you say hi. So please while I'm in this new season of slowness, don't be a stranger, don't feel sorry that my art needs to slow down, say hi, still collaborate, still connect with me, because I'm still here and will forever be an artist, just for now being mom needs my full attention.
Here's to a new season full of so many questions and not enough answers.

So happy I completed these! First time beading something other than a wide brim hat and I am quite proud of myself! These will be available at this weekend! Along with six wide brims and other smaller goodies! I have a minimum stock of items due to starting off at a small table for my first time vending at the Royal Bison. I will be bringing my hat bases for you to try on and start a custom spot in my 2023 calendar. Ribbon skirts and upcycle projects are also included in my 2023 customs calendar, so come stop by and chat with me! ❤️

Well guys I decided to just give in to this eb and flow of my life!

I will be opening my custom hats at 7:30pm tonight!!! (If my son goes down for bedtime that is)
I was hoping to have a website for you to go to but that's taking a little longer than I'd hope so we are stuck using instagram for now!
When I make my post at 7:30 please be advised that customs will cost a flat rate of $350. I will not ask for personal information and all custom order info will be talked about via email.

To claim your spot you must comment or DM SOLD! And DM with your hat color idea. I check instagram way more than Facebook so also keep that in mind.

Depending on the color and what your wanting I will message you an answer back and if we are going ahead with your idea we then move our conversation over to email. Custom orders must be paid in full and I will send an invoice via email to get any actual designing and work started.

Due to this being a creative outlet I have the right to turn away work that just doesn't align with what I like to design and create! So please keep that in mind when pitching me your idea. If it was a perfect world and I had allll the time in the world I would take every idea pitched, but my time is precious and my mental health is also precious so amending my custom criteria is absolutely necessary. I know a few other hat beaders that do amazing work that are in and around the Edmonton area that do an entirely different style than mine that I can suggest to you.

Oh hey,

For those of you who are new here, I am Marisa. I am a Metis designer dabbling in all art forms and am sitting here wondering what to do next. I had a whirl wind of a summer! I have been mentioning to people I planned to open custom hats again this month. I had taken a small part time job over the summer and that's coming to an end now.
So going forward I have customs plans. Market plans. And so much more. Stay tuned. Maybe check back again Sept 26.... For a special announcement. Cough cough hat custom orders. Cough cough new beaded line of pins and bolos....
