Yoga is more than the poses and sometimes it's a lesson in finding contentment in what is...

Santosha in yoga means learning to rest in the present moment. When anxiety pulls us into “what ifs” or “should haves,” Santosha whispers… this moment is enough.

On your mat, it’s giving yourself permission to simply move and breathe as you are today, which your ability or strength may differ today from last week. Off the mat, it’s choosing a little self-care. Noticing your breath, enjoying your tea, or pausing to feel the last of the day's sun on your skin for an extra few seconds. It's practicing gratitude for what we have moment to moment making it easier to handle the hard stuff.

Contentment isn’t about perfection and its not even about being happy. It’s about allowing yourself to soften, to accept what is, to feel safe, and to find small pockets of peace right where you are even amidst the challenges. 🌿

Mondays can feel a little heavy sometimes the to do lists, the deadlines, the rushing from one thing to the next. By the time evening comes, your body and mind are often ready for a deep exhale. 🌙

Thank you again, everyone, for your kind words and support. I am beginning to feel much better and it was great to be back in yoga practice last night. Thank you to everyone who joined me.

**NO CLASS THIS FRIDAY, 19 SEPTEMBER**
Thank you, everyone, for your kind words and support.

So..We had a bit of a health scare on the weekend. I had fainted at home followed by a few days of dizziness. After much testing in hospital, we ruled out many scary scenarios, but still no answers. I am now feeling somewhat better, but I am still needing this time to rest and recouperate.

Physical yoga is NOT to be practiced when we are feeling ill or unwell. This is a time for rest and healing.

If any student ever feels unwell before a class, remember that it is perfectly acceptable (and encouraged ) to miss the class, however please let me know in advance, if possible.

I do plan to resume our practices this Monday, 22 September at 6pm. I will contact all registered students directly if anything changes.

As the days get cooler and the evenings grow darker, it’s the perfect time to turn inward and reconnect with your body, breath, and mind. Join us this season for grounding practices designed to help you find balance and calm. Perfect for all levels, beginners and seniors included.
