Our acupuncturist Laurel demonstrates simple neck stretches.

Ease into a gentle neck stretch by:

• Slowly turning your head to look over one shoulder, then the other
• Gently look up, then down
• Tilt your head side to side

For a smooth, relaxing stretch, try linking these movements together in a slow, fluid flow ✨

If you have pain (anything more than mild discomfort) in any of these movements, stop the stretches and reach out to your practitioner for an assessment.

What is an ACL injury?
An ACL injury involves a tear or sprain of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament, one of the key ligaments that help stabilize the knee joint. It commonly occurs during sports that involve sudden stops, changes in direction, jumping, or landing — such as football, basketball, or skiing.

Symptoms:

-A popping sound or sensation in the knee at the time of injury
-Rapid swelling
-Instability or “giving way” of the knee
-Pain and loss of range of motion

The injury could result in needing surgery. But, starting with a physiotherapy assessment is a great option to get things moving correctly!

Both Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy can be instrumental in post operative recovery.

🚨 Snow Shoveling Reminder (Your Back Will Thank You!) 🚨

Before you grab that shovel, remember these quick tips to shovel smarter—not harder:

❄️ Bend your knees, not your back
Keep your back straight, feet hip-width apart, and bend at the knees and hips.

❄️ Lift with your legs
Your legs are strong—use them. Keep the snow close to your body.

❄️ Keep loads light
Small scoops only, especially with heavy or wet snow.

❄️ Keep it close
Hold the shovel close for better control and less strain.

❄️ No twisting
Turn your whole body with your feet—never twist your spine.

❄️ Don’t throw it
Walk the snow where it needs to go instead of tossing it over your shoulder.

✨ Shovel safe. Stay warm. Protect your body.
