Welcome, Doug!!

We’re excited to announce the addition of Physiotherapist, Doug Richards!

Doug has a PASSION for research, having completed an honors in Chemistry during his undergraduate degree. Including being awarded multiple NSERC research scholarships and being published in peer reviewed articles.

His passion for sport, exercise and helping others return to what they love lead him to Dalhousie University. Where he completed his Masters in Physiotherapy.

Doug prides himself in his strength within research and a passion for evidence-based practice within Physiotherapy!

With a strong interest in sport physiotherapy, Doug plans on continuing to expand his skill set and professional development, beyond his current practice which includes dry needling, exercise and a heavy emphasis on education.

Doug’s treating hours are below, and he starts Monday January 5th!

Our Story

MOVE Physiotherapy opened its doors in December of 2017 by Physiotherapists, Mitch & Julie Squarey. Driven by their passion for Sport and Active Living they envisioned a multi-disciplinary clinic with a focus on patient centred care and community. Having lived in and around the Parks of West Bedford since 2012, they jumped at the opportunity to service this growing and diverse community and its surroundings.

We use our advanced training in Sport & Orthopaedic Physiotherapy to help patients of all ages and activity levels. Taking the time to hear each individual patients story, exploring their impairments, and creating patient centred goals.

Our team of Physiotherapists and Massage Therapists, Pedorthists and Bracing Specialists are passionate, driven, and highly skilled. We work collaboratively to keep you moving in LIFE and SPORT!
