Yesterday was heavy. Our community is under severe stress. Many of us remember the days when we were kids, trying to figure out who we truly are, how important it was to feel safe as we learned about ourselves. We know the difference love and education can make in the often messy, unpredictable search for oneself. Criminalizing gender affirming care for youth doesn’t change that the majority of people against it don’t understand why that access is life saving and necessary.
Today I’m taking time to feel my feelings and meet my heart in a difficult space, I encourage you to do the same. Tomorrow, we can get back up and be present for one another again. Q***r folks, take care of each other. Yesterday showed yet again that there is so much strength in community. ♥️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
