Today, let's look at food sensitivities.
Food allergy reactions are immediate. They happen within minutes and can, on rare occasions, be life threatening. Hives, eczema, difficulty breathing, and digestive problems are common symptoms.
But what if you have sensitivities? These are so much harder to pin down because the symptoms can happen hours or even days after the reactive food is consumed. But the inflammatory reaction can cause:
Fever, fatigue, chills, sweating, weakness, puffiness, skin itching, swelling, redness, or rashes, mood and memory disturbances, asthma symptoms, joint pain, muscle stiffness, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, gas and bloating, and all of the conditions in the infographic below.
Any of those sound familiar?
If so, it might be time to get tested! We have found a great Canadian company that makes this process so easy, and we are proud to now offer testing in our shop.
