We are incredibly grateful to Revive Car Wash Canada Belleville for donating all proceeds from car washes on October 18th to CMHA HPE.

Our amazing community helped make this initiative a success, raising $2,400 from 480 car washes!

A welcoming, drop-in space for trans and non-binary adults (18+) to connect, share, and support one another in a safe and affirming environment.

Join us at the Belleville & Quinte West Community Health Centre (161 Bridge St. W, Unit 1) every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 5:30–7:30 PM — no registration required and totally free!

October 10 is World Mental Health Day and World Homeless Day, highlighting how mental health and housing are deeply intertwined.

This year’s World Mental Health Day theme, “Access to services: mental health in catastrophes and emergencies” reminds us that mental health care can’t wait until things are calm.

From northern wildfires to flooding in eastern Ontario, to the ongoing toxic drug and housing crises, emergencies across our province have taken a toll on people’s mental health. In moments like these, access to support is lifesaving.

CMHA branches across Ontario continue to provide counselling and outreach to help people find stability when the world feels unsteady.

Nearly 6 in 10 young adults (18–24) say cost keeps them from getting mental health help. No one should have to choose between paying rent and paying for care.

Today’s reflection: Think of the young people in your life. Family, friends or even neighbours. They deserve care they can afford. Let’s keep speaking up until that becomes reality.

90% of Canadians say timely access to mental health care is important. When someone reaches out, they shouldn’t be met with waitlists. Help should be there when it’s needed most.
