A lot of the time, when rest doesn’t feel restful, it’s not because you’re not doing enough. It’s because your body is still carrying stress underneath the surface.
Even when you stop and try to slow down, your system might still be in a kind of alert mode, which makes it hard to fully relax or feel restored.
What can help isn’t forcing yourself to rest harder… but slowly helping your body feel safe again.
That can look like slowing things down gently, creating moments of grounding in your day, or allowing yourself support that helps your system settle instead of pushing through it. 🧘♀️
