✨ Ever wondered how your ears actually work? 👂
Your ears are incredible—they take invisible sound waves and transform them into messages your brain can understand! Here’s how it happens:
• Outer ear: The visible part (the pinna) gathers sound and funnels it through the ear canal.
• Eardrum: Sound waves make this thin membrane vibrate.
• Middle ear: Three tiny bones (ossicles) amplify those vibrations and send them to the inner ear.
• Inner ear (cochlea): Filled with fluid and lined with tiny hair cells, it converts vibrations into electrical signals.
• Brain: These signals travel along the auditory nerve, allowing you to hear and interpret sound. 🎶
Because the process is so delicate, even a small issue can affect hearing or balance. If you’ve noticed changes, connecting with a hearing professional can make all the difference.
