The Centre for Workforce Development is set to host its Employer Day of Action on Tuesday, March 18th at the Trent Port Marina. This pivotal event brings together local employers, educators, Employment Ontario service providers, and government leaders to address workforce challenges and explore solutions based on the latest labour market data.
At the heart of the event is the official launch of CFWD’s 2025 Local Labour Market Plan (LLMP) - a key initiative that highlights workforce trends, hiring and retention challenges, and industry-driven solutions for Hastings, Prince Edward, and Lennox & Addington Counties.
“Employers across our region are navigating both challenges and opportunities when it comes to attracting and retaining talent,” says Sandi Ramsay, Executive Director of CFWD. “The Employer Day of Action is more than just a conversation about workforce struggles - it’s a platform for businesses to access and contribute real-time labour market insights, share innovative strategies, and influence the policies that will shape a stronger, more resilient regional workforce into the future.”
