BENEFITS OF THE ASNA
1. Strengthens liver, pancreas and kidneys.
Excellent for heart.
2. Good for infertility, asthma and osteoporosis.
3. Strengthens arms, shoulders, hands, wrists and legs.
Stretches the chest and lungs
4. Strengthens the arms and wrists, legs, buttocks, abdomen, and spine
5. Stimulates the thyroid and pituitary glands.
6. Increases energy and counteracts depression.
7. This asana also gives strength to your legs, abdomen, buttocks, spine, shoulder blades, glutes, hamstrings, lower back, wrists, and arms.
8. It cures infertility, asthma, and osteoporosis.
9. It also relieves stress and reduces depression, and makes you feel energetic and full of life.

CONTRAINDICATION AND PRECAUTION
1. Do not try this Asana in case of back injury.
2. If you are suffering from heart problems, then don’t try this.

1. improves digestion
2. eliminates constipation.
3. prevents ulcers and acidity.

7. This asana is one of the best ones to assume when you wish to go into a meditative state since it is an upright pose.

PRECAUTIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS.
1. knee problem or have undergone surgery in your knees recently.
2. Pregnant women should keep their knees slightly apart when they practice this asana so that they avoid putting pressure on their abdomen.
3. If you are suffering from any spinal column ailments on the lower vertebrae, it is best to avoid this pose.
4. Those suffering from intestinal ulcers, hernia, or any other problems related to the large or small intestine should practice this pose under the guidance of a yoga instructor.

Astang yoga has 8 pillars, that help us to achieve an ultimatum by step by step method.

Yam (universal rules to be followed)
Niyam (self rules to be followed)
Asan (postures with breath control)
Pranayam (breathing techniques)
Pratyahar (perception evolution)
Dharna (concentration)
Dhyan (meditation)
Samadhi (prolong meditation state).
from which Asan, Pranayam and Pratyahar known as Hath yog.
Dharna, Dhyan and Samadhi known as rajyog.

HISTORY OF YOGA
Yoga firstly Introduced in India. according to Indian literature, yoga first introduce by lord shiva. Shiva introduce yoga to the sun, than sun introduce to the first person of the world Manu. but as time passes, yoga just eradicated from the world. many literature also believes that the Rishis in ancient time, which also believed the scientists of that time, observed animals, and the creatures in the wold. how they breath, what are the body structures of them, how they live, how long they live. after long researches, they developed Asnas, like postures and breathing patterns, that helps an individual to achieve ultimatum. before some centuries, in India, Rushi Patanjali came and introduced Astang Yoga. a step by step method to achieve ultimatum. after that now a days, all the world practices Yoga. which comes from the basic Astang Yoga only.

WHAT IS YOGA?
yoga means union. union between body and soul. union between the inner world with our outer world. in short union between everything we see, think, act and integrate to the world. yoga world come from the sanskrit world, yuj. means union. Yoga is not just Asnas. now a days people think and practise Yoga as Asnas. but Yoga is beyond that. actually, when Rushi Patanjali developed yoga, he developed Astang yoga. means 8 step by step method to achieve ultimatum. thus, yoga is a practise to go from outer world to the inner world by practising it.
