Hospice Quinte All Hospice Quinte services are provided at no charge by compassionate and well-trained staff and volunteers.

Hospice Quinte provides individuals, their families, and caregivers with compassionate end of life care, by attending to their physical, psychosocial, and practical needs, and offering empathetic care to those who are grieving. Our immediate service area includes Belleville, Quinte West, Deseronto, Tyendinaga Township and the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. As a charitable organization, Hospice Quinte relies on its relationships with dedicated volunteers, as well as generous individuals, businesses, and charitable foundations throughout the community. Simply put…without the generosity of our donors and volunteers, Hospice Quinte’s work would not be possible.

Join our FREE 5-week program starting November 4, 2025. We provide the essential tools and support you need to offer safe, compassionate care at home. This practical training is designed for caregivers supporting someone with a life-limiting illness and is not diagnosis-specific.

🏍️ With Gratitude to the Bay of Quinte Harley Owners Group 🖤

This summer, the Bay Of Quinte Harley Owners Group generously raised $665 for Hospice Quinte through their Bike Night 50/50 draws, and after touring our Hospice, Fred Hayward shared how meaningful the experience was, saying their group was “blown away” by the compassion and care offered here.

Support like this helps us continue providing care to families when they need it most, free of charge and full of heart.

🕊️ Making Room for Meaningful Conversations

At Hospice Quinte, we believe that conversations around death and dying can be deeply healing and profoundly human.

The Graceful Endings Forum is a monthly gathering for heartfelt dialogue and meaningful education about death, dying, and the end-of-life journey.

Held on the fourth Wednesday of every month, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. This group invites all community members, caregivers, and professionals to explore diverse perspectives on dying with dignity, spiritual care, cultural practices, and more.

Tiny Paws, Big Comfort 🐰🐱

Earlier today, we were lucky to have another heartwarming visit from our friends at the Humane Society and what a delightful group they brought along! 🥰

Our residents and staff were treated to cuddles and companionship from baby cats, sweet bunnies, and even an adorable guinea pig! These gentle animals brought so much comfort, calm, and connection to everyone they met.

As a pet-friendly hospice, we cherish these moments of joy and the healing power of animal visits. 🐾💛

Join us for an afternoon of art, autumn beauty, and giving back at a special Art Show & Guided Hike Fundraiser, hosted by long-time Hospice Quinte volunteer and local artist George Kratz.

During this special event, you'll have the opportunity to explore George’s private 64-acre property in the Oak Hills of Stirling, enjoy a curated art show with 50% of all sales supporting Hospice Quinte, savour a hot lunch featuring homemade lasagna and chili con carne, and take in the vibrant fall colours on a guided hike through stunning natural trails.
