The 413 Wing Air Force Association has generously donated $5,400 to Hospice Quinte following their 20th Annual Connie Hamilton Dart Tournament. 💙

Held on February 7, the tournament brought together 64 players for a day of community, competition, and giving back. To date, this event has raised nearly $50,000 for local charities.

We are truly grateful for their support, helping fund hands-on care, comfort measures, and support for families when they need it most.

To learn more about donating to Hospice Quinte, please contact Matt Del Grosso at 613-966-6610 ext. 223 or email matthewd@hospicequinte.ca.

☁️ A Heartfelt Thank You to Nancy Flagler-Wilburn, Our Day of Care Sponsor ☁️

Today marks what would have been Pat and Nancy's mother's birthday, a special moment to honour her life and legacy. By giving back to those who need comfort and care, we celebrate the kindness she shared.

Sponsoring a Day of Care is more than just a donation, it’s a profound gift that ensures we can continue offering the very best care, comfort, and peace to those who need it most. This sponsorship directly supports the well-being of our residents and their families, allowing them to focus on what truly matters.

In memory of her sister, Pat Flagler, Nancy Flagler-Wilburn is helping us provide:

🍽️ Nourishing meals, prepared with love by our dedicated food coordinator and volunteers, ensuring every resident feels cared for and valued.
💛 Emotional support from our compassionate team, offering a listening ear and a comforting presence when it’s needed most.
🩺 24/7 clinical care from our skilled team, providing unwavering comfort and dignity at all hours.
🛌 Essential medical supplies, maintaining a peaceful, safe environment for our residents as they receive the care they deserve.
🙏 Pain and symptom management, along with spiritual care, ensuring peace and solace for those on their final journey.
💡 Essential utilities that make our hospice a warm, welcoming place for our residents and their families to feel at home.

The cost to provide this extraordinary level of care is approximately $1,500 per day, and thanks to Nancy Flagler-Wilburn, we can continue supporting our community with the highest standard of care.

Would you like to sponsor a Day of Care in memory of a loved one or in recognition of the services received at Hospice Quinte. Learn more about sponsoring a Day of Care here: https://hospicequinte.ca/day-of-care/

🌍💜 Celebrating Women Everywhere

Today, on International Women’s Day, we take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible women who shape our world each and every day.

To the mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, friends, caregivers, leaders, creators, mentors, advocates, and changemakers and to all the women whose roles may not always be seen but are deeply felt - today we celebrate you.

Women carry countless responsibilities, lift up those around them, and contribute in meaningful ways across our families, workplaces, and communities. Your strength, compassion, resilience, and dedication help make our world a kinder, stronger, and more connected place.

Whether your impact is quiet or bold, behind the scenes or in the spotlight, it matters. Today we honour the many ways women support, inspire, and lead.

Thank you for everything you do - today and every day

Save the Date – Hike for Hospice 2026 👟🩵

On May 23rd, join us at 9:30 a.m. for a scenic, accessible walk along the waterfront at Centennial Park.

Hike for Hospice is a community event open to everyone - families, friends, colleagues, neighbours, and supporters of hospice care. Participants walk in memory of loved ones, in honour of those receiving care, or simply to show their support for compassionate end-of-life care in our community.

This year, participants can choose between 2 km and 5 km routes along the beautiful waterfront. The morning will include a marked walk suitable for all ages and abilities, family-friendly activities, and light refreshments. There will also be special activities to honour a loved one, including opportunities to personalize a dove and a garden stone in memory of someone special.

You are welcome to bring your family, your friends, and your furry companions. Many participants choose to walk in honour of someone special, carrying their memory with them throughout the event.

The registration fee is $25. Registration details will be shared soon.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. If you or your organization would like to support this meaningful community event, please contact Matthew at MatthewD@hospicequinte.ca or 613-966-6610 ext. 223.

Can’t join us on the day? You can still make a difference. Consider making a donation to support this event and the compassionate care Hospice Quinte provides at HospiceQuinte.ca/donate.
