At Hospice Quinte, we are deeply moved to have been chosen as the beneficiary of the 3rd Annual Jules Vanderham Memorial Golf Tournament, held on June 27 at Shelter Valley Pines Golf Club in Grafton.

Organized with love by Jules’ wife, Lee Vanderham, this heartfelt event brought together 56 golfers who gathered not only in remembrance of a beloved husband, friend, and community member but in support of a cause rooted in compassion.

The care and thought behind this tribute speak volumes about the impact Jules had on those around him. Through this special day, $800 was generously donated to Hospice Quinte in his honour, helping ensure others receive comfort, dignity, and peace in life’s final chapter.

To Lee and everyone who participated, thank you. Your generosity, and the love that inspired it, mean more than words can express.

This beautiful gesture ensures that Jules’ legacy continues to touch lives in the most meaningful way. 💛

If you would like to honour someone special in your own way, organizing a third-party fundraising event is a beautiful way to make a lasting impact. These community-led acts of kindness help ensure that others can receive the same compassionate care when it’s needed most.

This week, we were deeply honoured to be part of something truly meaningful.

Hospice Quinte was chosen as the beneficiary of the inaugural Junior Masters Tournament, hosted by the Play Junior Golf Tour on July 9 and 10, in loving memory of Jessica Biederman.

Over two days, more than 60 young golfers came together at Black Bear Ridge and Trillium Woods golf courses not just to play, but to honour a life and support a cause rooted in compassion.

We are incredibly grateful to the organizers, participants, and everyone who supported this event. Jessica’s memory lives on through the kindness shown, and the difference this gift will make for those we care for at Hospice Quinte.

Thank you for turning love into action, and for reminding us how powerful a caring community can be. 💛
