🖊️ Finding Comfort Through Journaling

When grief feels overwhelming, journaling allows us to gently process emotions and create room for hope and healing. It’s a personal sanctuary where you can honestly explore your feelings, express your thoughts freely, and begin to untangle the heaviness inside. Each entry becomes a step toward acceptance, resilience, and finding light even in difficult times.

We invite you to join our monthly Bullet Journaling Group, a gentle and supportive environment where we’ll come together to:

✨ Explore meaningful journaling prompts
✨ Create space to share and connect
✨ Learn simple strategies to cope with grief

No writing experience is needed—just bring your heart, an open mind, and a gentle willingness to explore. Whether this is your first time journaling or you’re seeking a caring community to share your journey, you’re warmly welcome here.

📅 Second Tuesday of every month
🕙 10:00–11:30 a.m.
📍 Stan Klemencic Care Centre, 1244 Old Highway #2, Belleville

A Gentle Space for young Hearts to Heal 🧡

Losing someone important is difficult at any age. Hospice Quinte’s Youth Grief Support Group offers a safe, caring, and age-appropriate space for youth ages 11–15 who have experienced the expected death of someone close to them.

Throughout the program, youth will explore their emotions in a safe and supportive way, learn gentle coping tools to help navigate difficult moments, and connect with peers who truly understand what they’re going through. They’ll gain confidence, feel less alone, and learn how to express their grief in ways that feel comfortable and natural for them.

Guided by trained facilitators, each session offers a thoughtful blend of learning, reflection, and connection.

📅 Begins Wednesday, February 4th (runs weekly for six weeks)
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Stan Klemencic Care Centre | 1244 Old Hwy 2
A 45-minute dinner is provided at the start of each session

✨ Pre-registration is required.
To register or for more information, please contact Shelley Haggarty at

If you know a youth who may benefit from this support, please reach out or share this message. Together, we can help them carry their memories forward with strength and peace.

We gratefully acknowledge the generous support of the Alva Foundation, which helps make this program possible.

🏒🥅 Chuck-A-Puck for Hospice Quinte! 🥅🏒

Hospice Quinte has the opportunity to take part in this year’s Chuck-A-Puck program, but we need your help!

Last season, the program supported 15 local organizations, and we’re truly honored to be one of them this year.

To secure our spot, we must sell 100 tickets to the Belleville Senators game. Once we reach this goal, fans can purchase pucks from our Hospice Quinte volunteers for $5 each to chuck during the game (February 16,2026). All puck proceeds go directly to Hospice Quinte to support compassionate care, comfort, and grief support for families in our community.

🎟 Tickets: https://www.gofevo.com/event/Hospice-Quinte-CAP
📅 Monday, Feb 16, 2026 | 3:00 PM EST
📍 CAA Arena, 265 Cannifton Rd, Belleville

With your support, we can turn every puck into comfort and care for our community.

💙 New Episode: Changing Lives

This week on Changing Lives, we’re reflecting on how creativity can become a source of comfort, meaning, and expression at the end of life.

Many artists turn to their craft during their final days- using music, painting, or performance to express emotions, find solace, and leave something meaningful behind. In this episode, we gently explore a few examples of creators, such as David Bowie, whose final works reflected what they were navigating. We also talk about how creating art can help people process difficult feelings, regain a sense of control, and shape a legacy that continues to speak for them.

Join us as we look at how art can bring clarity, comfort, and connection during life’s most tender moments.

December 5th felt extra magical ✨

As another year came and went, one thing remained the same- the loving generosity of Brighton Clothing and Treasures .

This year, they raised even more for local charities across the community- from food banks and schools to programs supporting children and pets. Their commitment shows the true heart of this remarkable organization.

Their generosity made a real difference with a $10,000 donation to Hospice Quinte, helping us provide comfort and care to those who need it most.

Pictured above is one of their amazing volunteers, Donna Breznik, who, along with a team of more than 50 dedicated volunteers, helps make this work possible. 🙌

💖 Thank you, Brighton Clothing and Treasures, for returning this year and for your unwavering support- together, you are helping us bring hope, comfort, and care to those who need it most!

If you’re inspired by this generosity and would like to support Hospice Quinte with a third party event of your own, visit https://hospicequinte.ca/third-party-fundraising/ to learn more or contact Sherwin Sam at Sherwins@hospicequinte.ca
