While Canada may be known for its winters, our summer temperatures can soar—and prolonged heat can become dangerous.

Extended exposure to extreme heat can lead to heat-related emergencies such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Follow these tips to stay safe and cool:

✅ Stay hydrated (even if you’re not thirsty)

✅ Arrange for fans or air conditioning in your home

✅ Avoid being outside during peak heat times

✅ Dress in light, loose clothing

✅ Apply SPF 15+ sunscreen
