I am excited to announce that Brittany Dalman is starting her Osteopathic Manual Therapy course at the National Academy of Osteopathy this month and will be mentoring with me for the next two years! She is located in Killarney and in a couple months when she gets into her courses she will need volunteers to practice on.

Feet are very important to our body’s balance and general well being. I always stress good footwear is the key to a keeping the body feeling good. I’m not a fad os Podiatrists or orthotics but instead well fitted shoes. Last weekend I took my son to Winnipeg to be fitted for new Red Wing work boots. In a year he had wore the sole off the ball of his boot on one foot and the outside of the foot on the other boot. He had heel and ankle rubs but he’d loved his Red Wings. He said they were like walking on clouds. The problem with his old pair was that he’d been fitted in a shoe store-not Red Wing store- with too narrow and too big of a boot. I included the picture of the scans of his feet that were done at the Red Wing store and sent to him for reference. I could Tell from the weight distribution that i had to mobilize his foot, fibula and hip on the left and hip flexors on the right as he “jabbed” the ground with his heel on the right.
Red Wing boots are not cheap but they are good. He also bought a second pair of orthotic inserts made for the boots from Red Wing to put in when these wore out. Replacing the insoles will help lengthen the life of your boots as well as help with foot health. Overall it was a good day.

Bought myself two new books to read but they will have to wait until tomorrow night after my exams are done! Now back to studying before my next client comes!

Finally! My webpage is back up and running. It seams like Vistaprint who I made the page through is getting out of managing webpages so they sold them to wix but the domain names to hover? What a rigmarole to get it back up!
