A big thank you again to everyone in town who came out to see The Truman Show last night at the Orpheum Theatre!

There is truly something special about seeing a movie together on the big screen. I hope this movie left you feeling good inside, I know it did for me.

I had a wonderful time sharing some of my feel-good classics with the community, what are some of your feel-good favourites (i.e., what should we show next year...?)?

Join us tonight for our final "Feel-Good Movie Night" of May, for Mental Health Awareness Month at the Orpheum Theatre!

Tonight we're showing The Truman Show, a somewhat more serious role for Jim Carrey, and one for which Siskel and Ebert offered a formal apology to Jim Carrey for being so hard on him after Ace Ventura came out.

Movie starts at 7:30, but doors are open at 6:30!

Free admission, and concessions for sale!

I'm happy to be invited to be a part of this event, looking forward to seeing this movie and to seeing everyone out ther...

🎬 NEW DATE ANNOUNCED — JUNE 22ND 🎬

We’ve moved our free community screening of SEEN to June 22nd and we are hoping to fill the beautiful Orpheum Theatre with families, caregivers, educators, and community members for this incredibly powerful evening.

SEEN is more than a documentary — it is a moving exploration of how parents’ personal healing shapes their children’s brain development, emotional wellbeing, and future relationships. Through real, unfiltered stories, the film reveals how confronting childhood patterns can break cycles and create deeper, healthier connections within families. It is an invitation to reflect, grow, and create lasting generational change.

Following the screening, join us for a LIVE Question & Answer session with local resident and psychologist David Combden, who will help guide meaningful conversation and reflection after the film.

✨ What We’re Offering:
An evening created just for you.
This thoughtfully curated adults-only event invites you to slow down, connect, and experience an impactful night centered around parenting, healing, and growth.

🍿 Free popcorn included
👶 Complimentary childcare available at The Nest KPSquared Centre (pre-registration required)
🎥 Film runtime: 1 hour 20 minutes
🚪 Doors open at 5:30 PM
đź•– Screening begins at 7:00 PM

Spaces for both the screening and childcare are limited, so reserve your spot early and help us fill the theatre for this important community conversation.

Because healing ourselves helps heal the next generation.

A big thank you to the Orpheum Theatre in Blairmore who has been helping us promote mental wellness by putting on some classic feel-good movies throughout the month of May.

And an even bigger thank you to everyone in this community who has been coming out to see these movies, and laugh along with everyone to some classic comedies. It makes me feel good to hear a room full of people laughing.

Next week, we'll be showing something a little deeper perhaps, but still a comedy; The Truman Show. Join us once again for a free, feel-good movie, Monday May 25th at 7:30!

And happy Mental Health Awareness Month! What have you been doing this month for your mental health?
