And here’s the wild part…
🌅 Morning sunlight is one of the most powerful ways to reset it.

Within minutes of getting natural light in your eyes (no sunglasses, no window), you’re sending a signal to your brain: ➡️ “It’s daytime. Let’s wake up, regulate hormones, and run efficiently.”

These cellular clocks control… well, everything: ✔️ Metabolism
✔️ Hormones
✔️ Energy
✔️ Sleep
✔️ Inflammation
✔️ Even how your cells repair themselves

When your circadian rhythm is off, your body feels it. Over time, this dysregulation is linked to many chronic conditions.

My response to "how do you beat a life long sugar addiction?"

I had a full blown sugar addiction issue for decades - started when I was a teenager (parents divorce - soothed myself with sugar - this was how I learned to regulate (falsely my nervous system (which was not a word back then lol!!)) and softened in my early 40’s (crazy how much of my life was controlled by sugar - I wrote a book called Cookie Dough in the Dark and have been helping people for years to reduce and regulate sugar)

- my approach for years was to go cold turkey every Monday!!!

After I had kids in my 30’s - I was further awakened to how sugar was negatively affecting my mood, attention and energy - I wanted to be the best mum ever and this began a deeper level of transformation.

I let go of the all or nothing and embraced the journey to vibrant health - that one mindshift helped tremendously.

I stopped being in a hurry and leaned into the multi-faceted causes of sugar addiction - it’s emotional, physical, spiritual, chemical, habitual and slowly I began to unwind all of these - and remember - this was before the access of information we now have at our fingertips (I was not on a computer - I was with my children and navigating this took a lot of trial and error) - jump forward to today and we understand so much more and have soooo many resources - information though without action - is just info - how can we apply the changes to our lifestyle.

Personally, I call it peeling the layer of the onion and I started with the smallest changes I could do in each area which allowed me to access the next layer (remember I had spent years trying to get to the core of the onion quickly- all or nothing) - I could talk for hours about the things I have done as it’s a process....
... and I can tell you today that for the first time in my life I have 95% food freedom which is something I dreamed of years ago - it is so liberating.

We are puzzles and all the strategies are pieces - sometimes they fit quickly, other times you have to put the piece down and come back to it and other times you put a piece in and 5 pieces fall into place quickly.

Self-sabotage is when you want something… but your actions quietly pull you in the opposite direction.
💥It’s not because you’re lazy.
💥It’s not because you don’t have discipline.
💥And it’s definitely not because you’re broken.

🫱Self-sabotage usually shows up when your nervous system feels safer staying where you are than stepping into something new.

So what does it actually look like?

💫It looks like procrastinating on the thing that could change your life.
💫It looks like starting something and then stopping the moment it begins to work.
💫It looks like saying you want more energy, confidence, or success… but putting yourself last every single day.
💫It looks like overthinking, doubting yourself, and talking yourself out of opportunities.

And the truth is — once you understand why you do it, you can finally stop fighting yourself and start moving forward with ease instead of resistance. 💛

Tanya, guess what I did in Sedona? I went hiking… with my 22-year-old son! 😲
Your name came up many times during our adventure...in a positive way..lol...I couldn’t believe it—I wasn’t any more winded than he was! Beforr you, I would’ve been whining the whole time. Instead, I was truly enjoying myself.
