Botwood Heritage It provides displays of items collected in the area and maintains an archive of information including pictures of the local area in past years.

Our collection includes Flying Boats, World War II, Beothuks, Shipping, Cottage Hospital, Archives, antique snowmobiles, Stuckless Collection,
Falkenberg Room, Thomas Collection historical information and exhibits. Botwood Heritage Society Mandate
The Botwood Heritage Society was formed in 1989 with a mandate is to preserve the history of Botwood and interpret it for the benefit of people and the

youth of Botwood. Exhibits are built as items of interest from the area and space becomes available. These include:
* Early aviation in Botwood with Sidney Cotton
* Transatlantic flying boats from 1937
* Botwood World War I flying ace exhibit
* Activities during World War II as they affected Botwood
* Paper shipping, logging, boat building and mineral handling
* Antique snowmobiles
The museum displays are open to the public during the summer months and the archives are available by appointment all year. The society consists of volunteers with board members elected annually.

In 1976 Ruby Edison wrote a poem which was featured in the 'Poet's Corner' of the Grand Falls Advertiser. It tells her story of growing up in Botwood. Ruby Mary Regular Edison, 1919-1997 was the daughter of Obediah & Annie Young Regular and the wife of Alfred Edison, 1917-1982. Their family home was in the area called Northern Arm then but Commonwealth Drive now. Judy
