Queen Street Chiropractic Centre Longest Serving Chiropractic Clinic in Bowmanville http://www.queenstreetchiropractic.ca/

Queen Street Chiropractic Centre was established in 1977 by Dr. Leonard Jay. The clinic is situated within a historic home located at 96 Queen Street and is now the longest serving Chiropractic Clinic in Bowmanville. Originally Dr. Leonard Jay was the sole practitioner but has since welcomed his three sons, Kevin, Chris and Korey as well as his daughter-in-law Erica to the practice. The clinic qui

ckly grew, at which time two treatment rooms were created to allow two chiropractors to treat simulataneously providing efficient chiropractic care at an affordable price. Queen Street Chiropractic Centre continues to be a “hands on” clinic with each patient receiving personalized care from their chiropractor during each visit.

We understand that tomorrow is a big day and many are excited about the masking changes.

However due to provincial guidelines, and being a healthcare facility, masks are required until further notice.

Today, the Ontario government issued a province-wide, stay-at-home order, effective Thurs., Jan. 14, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. The order requires everyone to remain at home, except for essential purposes, such as accessing health care services or grocery shopping.

There are no changes to rules around regulated health care professionals, such as chiropractors, registered massage therapists and physiotherapists.

According to Ontario’s Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020 (effective Jan. 11, 2021), businesses that can continue to remain open include: health care services provided by regulated health professionals (point #53); organizations that provide health care, including clinics and independent health facilities (point #55) and manufacturers, wholesalers and businesses that provide logistical support of or for products and/or services that support the delivery of health care in all locations (point #58).

Patients and members of the public will be able to continue to visit their chiropractor during their regular hours of operation. And chiropractors will continue to comply with strict PPE and safety precautions to protect their patients and team members.

To keep their patients and staff safe, Ontario chiropractors have made changes and implemented procedures to meet Ontario Ministry of Health directives and their regulatory college’s guidelines. Here are some of the changes patients can expect when they visit their chiropractor during COVID-19.

This morning, we re-opened our door.. a new door (or the original entrance for those patients who have been with us for many many years)..
To ensure minimal risk of exposure to our patients, you currently enter straight into a treatment room. We ask that you wait for us outside or in your car. Once the previous patient has left, we will sanitize the room, then wave you on in. Please watch for us under the carport.
We are currently operating out of one treatment room, which means only one of us will be working at a time. This along with sanitization time decreases the number of patients that we can see. We are currently booked solid for the week and are already booking for next week. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. This is also a huge change for us as we are used to being able to accommodate our patients and get them out of pain right away. We are doing the best that we can with the restrictions from our chiropractic association. Thank you for your understanding!

It is true! We have been given the green light. We will be reopening on Monday June 1st. Please bare with us as we work through returning all of the calls and booking patients.

We also regret to inform you that we will be unable to accommodate walk-ins for the foreseeable future. All patients will need to be screened and booked into specific appointment times that will allow for proper sanitizing between each appointment.

With Phase 1 of re-opening being announced, many patients are wondering if chiropractic services are returning to normal.
Unfortunately, Chiropractic services do not fall under phase 1.

At this time, we are still restricted to emergency/acute patients only.

We are currently making changes to the office to ensure that once we are given the green light, we will meet and/or exceed all safety standards that were given out by the Ontario Government and Ontario Chiropractic Association.

Please continue to stay safe and healthy!
See you soon!
