Our wonderful volunteer, Gina, introduced us to an amazing art activity: pour painting! This unique program involved mixing vibrant colourings with a special paint medium to make the paint flow smoothly. We poured it over vases and let it drip onto canvases, creating incredible abstract designs full of colour and movement.

It was a fun, hands-on experience that sparked creativity and left us all with beautiful, one-of-a-kind art pieces. Thank you, Gina, for bringing this artistic adventure to life!

We are proud to see Grace, a resident whose wish was fulfilled through Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie, featured in Zoomer Magazine.

At 88 years old, Grace, an accomplished pilot from Edmonton, returned to the cockpit for the first time in more than 50 years. With a flight instructor by her side, she proved to herself that her skills and spirit were still strong, successfully landing a small aircraft.

Grace’s story is a testament to resilience, passion, and the belief that adventure has no age limit. We are thrilled to celebrate this national recognition of her incredible achievement.

At the end of September, we held a Staff Bake Off Competition, and it was a huge hit! Team members brought in their best homemade desserts, and our residents served as the official blind taste testers.

The competition was tough (and tasty!), but after much deliberation, the winner was Carli, one of our amazing nurses, with her show-stopping dessert! 🎉

A big thank you to everyone who participated – from the talented bakers to our wonderful resident judges. We’re already looking forward to the next one!🍩🍪🍰🍮

We’re getting into the autumn spirit by DIY-ing our own burlap wreaths! Tiny strips of burlap are hand-tied onto metal wreath frames, creating a rustic and textured base. Then comes the fun part — accessorizing! 🐦🎃🎀
