This stretch targets both internal and external hip rotation, helping loosen tight hips and make everyday movements feel easier and more comfortable.
Follow these steps to try it yourself:
1. Sit on the floor with one leg in front and one leg behind you, both bent at 90 degrees. Keep your chest lifted and spine tall.
2. Gently engage your core to keep your torso stable and upright.
3. With your feet staying on the floor, slowly rotate both knees to the opposite side until you reach the same 90/90 position.
4. Keep both glutes on the floor as long as possible so the movement comes from your hips rather than your lower back.
5. Move slowly and with control. Inhale as you begin the switch and exhale as you settle into the new position.
