🌳 Why One Tree? The Meaning Behind the Name🌳

The tree itself was the perfect metaphor for wellness. Its strength came from deep roots, and though it stood alone, it was part of a larger, thriving ecosystem—connected to the earth, the air, and the living world around it. True healing wasn’t just about addressing one problem; it was about restoring balance within the whole self—body, mind, and spirit. Like a tree, healing began at the core, grounded in self-care, self-awareness, and unity.💛

From this understanding, the name One Tree was born. It symbolized strength, rootedness, and the interconnectedness of all things. The name captured the belief that wellness, much like a tree, starts deep within and radiates outward. Just as a tree draws strength from its roots to grow and thrive, people can find healing by grounding themselves in self-awareness and self-care.🍃

What happens to your body when you’re stressed?

The musculoskeletal system is one of the systems that can be affected. Our muscles tense up, which is the body’s natural way of protecting ourselves from injury and pain. Repeated muscle tension can cause bodily aches and pains, and when it occurs in the shoulders, neck and head it may result in tension headaches and migraines.

Does your neck and shoulders bother you after a long day of working at the computer or driving?

Try this passive stretch to open up the chest by using a bolster. Hold for 30-60 seconds and then slowly come out of the position. This is one of my favourite stretches. It’s relaxing and effective.

Remember to breathe and feel the tension melt away.

Please listen to your body and stop if you are experiencing pain.
