Helpful tips and tricks! Try these activities to help your child develop a pencil grasp. If beading or lacing is difficult, use pipe cleaners, dowels, or plastic lacing to make it easier. Create a fun game with Play-Doh by encouraging your child to make small balls and then letting them smash them flat like cookies! Cutting with scissors is also great for pencil grasp development, and many children love to cut endlessly!
