🧗♀️ Did you know climbing can support sensory development in children?
At Aspire Speech, our rock climbing wall isn’t just for fun — it’s a powerful tool we use in therapy for children who need more sensory input and movement.
Climbing helps children build body awareness, coordination, balance, and strength while also supporting focus and regulation. It provides the kind of proprioceptive and vestibular input that many children benefit from when developing motor and sensory processing skills.
To make it even more engaging, we turn the climb into a game by placing stickers or suction toys on the wall for kids to collect as they climb. This adds problem-solving, visual-motor integration, and motivation to keep moving.
The best part?
To kids, it just feels like fun 👐
