Christmas Tree - In a Bottle
Every year, millions cut me down and bring me in their homes, but they rarely understand me or see me for the trueness & greatness that I am. I am magic, I am healing, I'm also here to help 🌲
I am Balsam Fir, in latin, Abies balsamia, in Ojibwe, Zhingob, in Cree, Napakatik.
I decided to break the tree down into the four components of holistic medicine because when I make a medicine for the body it is also for the mind, the heart and the spirit.
The lower three circles are body & mind, the top three are spiritual, emotional & mental.
In our culture, we're very obsessed with the physical help a product has, or can do because we don't have much of a concept for mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being embedded into our culture.
That's changing, and we have many to look up to in this regard. Specifically, indigenous people who have remained connected to their core values within their teachings. We have so much to learn and be led by in that way.
It is nice to be building the road back to our overall health & wellbeing body, mind, heart & soul.
I make my products as helpers on this roadway back to self 💓
The properties of Balsam fir are so needed right now and it's so interesting because this was my least popular hydrosol and within the last 2 months it has become my best selling hydrosol, even passing Sweetgrass & Rosewater for overall community need. This part of the business is so cool to me, to see which products resonate in the collective at certain times and to watch those trends unfold as the collective heals!
