The South Muskoka Hospital Foundation is deeply honoured to share the story of Joe and Joan Neveu, whose legacy gift of over $1.5 million will help transform healthcare in our community for generations.

Joan, a lifelong nurse, cared for others with quiet strength. After her passing, Joe chose to honour their life together with a gift that will continue their impact, supporting critical care, technology, and future hospital projects.

We are so fortunate to live in Muskoka… a part of the world that offers opportunity and abundance that most can only dream about. Not only do we have access to some of the most beautiful scenery nature has to offer, but access to excellent health, close to home and cottage. This quality healthcare does not happen by chance. It only happens when we all work together. We must ensure that our nurses and physicians have the tools and equipment they need to continue delivering quality and professional care. Our hospital is strong and our future is bright. Let’s keep it that way by providing the much-needed funds to purchase up-to-date equipment and technology and support these professionals who are there to provide care when you need it most. Let’s keep our hospital strong. Together… we can make a real and lasting difference in this beautiful community where we live, work and play.
