On Friday, October 10, the 99.5 Moose FM Thanksgiving Radiothon returns, bringing South Muskoka together to raise $100,000 for emergency care at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.

When the leaves and debris coming in the two main entrances are too much for the Housekeeping Crew's brooms, who they gonna call? The Auxiliary, of course!

We came through and purchased them a Milwaukee Cordless Blower to make their job easier.

The Auxiliary aims to help out in any area of South Muskoka Memorial Hospital where we can assist.

A Big Thank You to our Hospital Equipment Lottery Program for People (H.E.L.P.P. ) Team.

All visitors, patients, staff members and volunteers (other than those of us who sell) are encouraged to stop by the H.E.L.P.P. desk just outside the SMMH Gift Shop and try their luck with our lottery tickets. You get a chance to win cash prizes from $1 to $100 with every 50-cent lottery ticket.

Bonus! Every ticket you purchase is a win for the hospital. The cost of every 50-cent ticket goes towards the purchase of much-needed Hospital equipment.

Recently, the H.E.L.P.P. Team was able to purchase a ‘Sara Stedy’ Lift for the Emergency Department and two Bariatric (large capacity) wheelchairs for general use in the hospital.

The Auxiliary welcomes the nine medical students from NOSM University to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital and Muskoka. We trust you will enjoy your time here and hope you get to meet some of our Auxiliary volunteers.

We are proud to welcome nine medical learners from NOSM University—Université de l'EMNO as part of an eight-month Comprehensive Community Clerkship (CCC). This immersive program allows students to live and train in Muskoka while gaining hands-on experience within our hospitals and broader community.
