We support healthcare at the Bracebridge Hospital through education and fundraising opportunities.

Your hospital Gift Shop at SMMH would like to introduce you to our newest event promoting local authors and authors featuring our beautiful Muskoka Area.

At present we have 6 different writers we are featuring whose works range from fantasy, fiction, humour, children to poetry.

Come on in and check out a writer new to you or see the newest work of an existing favourite.

Our current six writers books will be featured until around the beginning of September. Muskoka Author Event will then feature 5 different authors .

What a great way to support local talent and your local hospital!!

Meet Rob Gerigs, The Boat Builder, one of the partners/hosts of our HERITAGE BOAT SHOW fundraiser.

Rob Gerigs is a highly skilled and experienced craftman. In the past 16+ years Rob has had the pleasure of working on a sweeping range of boats - Minett, Ditchburn, Shepherd, Duke, Greavette, Seabird, and a few rare names, Riva, Garwood, and Clive Brown. And of course the biggest restoration - the 50 foot , 1914 Rita.

Rob will be welcoming Boat SHOW passport holders to his workshop on August 9th where he and his team pour love, care and passion into their restoration work.

Meet the new 2025-2026 Executive for SMMH Auxiliary elected at our AGM in June.

President Leslie McCann, President-Elect Jim Lawrie, Executive Treasurer Beth Hannah, Executive Secretary Maureen Kelly, Director Carol Charlton, Director Pat Buckley, and Past President Bev Webb.

Congratulations to all, and a huge thank you for your commitment to the Auxiliary.

The Auxiliary's Tag Day, held on Saturday July 12th through-out Muskoka, was very successful. THANK YOU to all the volunteers who manned the donation boxes and THANK YOU to all the people who donated.

All proceeds collected will be used by the Auxiliary to purchase much needed equipment for the Hospital.

Meet Paul Brackley of Brackley Boats, one of the partners/hosts of our HERITAGE BOAT SHOW fundraiser.

Paul Brackley grew up in Muskoka and has been building and restoring wooden boats for over 30 years. His boats have been award winners at the Annual International Antique and Classic Boat Society Vintage Boat Show, that takes place every summer in Gravenhurst.

Paul will be welcoming Boat SHOW passport holders to his workshop on August 9th where he can share how he honours the past while restoring dreams.

Meet James Osler, one of the partners/hosts of our HERITAGE BOAT SHOW fundraiser.

James Osler of James Osler Classic Boat Restoration can trace his family's nautical connection in Muskoka to back to 1894. James himself began restoring wooden boats in 2005 and has reconditioned Dukes, Seabirds, Greavettes and Ditchburns.

James will be welcoming Boat SHOW passport holders to his workshop on August 9th where he has many stories to share.

TICKETS to The Auxiliary's Heritage Boat Show fundraiser can be purchased at the Hospital Gift Shop, as well as online here: tinyurl.com/heritageboatshow.

The Gift Shop is open Monday - Friday 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday 11 am - 3 pm. You get 15 minutes free parking at the Hospital - just enough time to run in and buy your tickets.
