We’re pleased to share that the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation’s 2026 Golf Classic will be held at the South Muskoka Curling & Golf Club on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

We’re grateful to once again welcome our presenting sponsors, Greavette GM and Subaru of Muskoka. Their continued partnership helps make this event possible and strengthens care at South Muskoka Hospital.

Our team of 17 volunteers man the Emergency Department Desk at SMMH all week long from 9am to 7:30 pm to provide crucial support to patients, families and hospital staff during high-stress situations. They welcome patients, guide them through registration, offer comfort items, and assist with hospital navigation.

An Emergency Room visit is never a pleasant affair, however our volunteers play an important role in improving the experience of patients and families, and handle all situations with serenity, empathy and kindness.

Nobody really likes being an in-patient at the Hospital especially on a holiday. Our Tray Favour Volunteers, Barb Poulstrup, Jan Howden and Sharon Davis create 70 small items to decorate patient food trays and to brighten the holiday for them.

It's a year round mission for these ladies who help SMMH patients celebrate New Years, Valentines, St Patrick's, Easter, Canada Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Remembrance Day and Christmas! We thank you for your hard work, dedication and creativity.
