Empower Mental Health and Wellness Services A holistic approach to mental health coaching, chronic illness management, wellness planning, CBT, mindfulness and groups. Hi, I'm Brooke.

Secure online, telephone, email appointments and text reminders available. I am a registered nurse and creator of Empower Mental Health and Wellness Services. I have worked most of my career in the Mental Health Sector and was inspired to do more. I started this practice to be able to lift others up and help them regain empowerment over all facets of their lives. I am currently an independent practice with hopes of building a multidisciplinary team in the future, to ensure Empower can meet all the goals and needs of our clients and I hope I am able to support everyone that comes my way in the meantime. 😌 "I bend so I dont break" 😌

Yoga is one of my favorite pastimes although it didnt start out that way!

When I was first introduced to yoga it was a "workout" or "exercise class". High intensity, too many names, mixed with poor self confidence and social anxiety meant the mainstream gym style yoga class wasnt for me.

Then, I found Yoga With Adriene and she changed my whole outlook! Her videos allowed to me pick something that seemed my speed for each day ranging from 5- 20 or more minutes of beautifully guided yoga sessions that leave me feeling rested, rejuvenated and at ease.

Anxiety, chronic pain, depression, and others were among the reasons why I continued to explore yoga, even after being discouraged at first. Let me tell you, yoga helped me in more than just relieving my body pain and distracting me from my anxieties. Yoga with Adriene was a big contributor to my wellness journey. Her asana videos were friendly for both beginners and more advanced yogis, she offers alterations to make it more difficult, easier or special tips for if you have a bad knee etc. Adriene's meditation videos helped in my healing and wellness journey as well helping me steady my mind and allow it to work with my body and breath.

The routine that worked best for me when I wasnt doing well was as follows:
EVERY AM:
5-min w. Adriene
11-min for Inner Peace w. Adriene
EVERY PM:
5-min Stress Fix
5-min exercise

I keep things short and sweet when I'm not at my best to keep myself and
