1. Sometimes we can get caught up in life that we forget to take time for ourselves scheduling an hour out of your day to do an activity you enjoy or spending time with people you care about can instant up life your mood
2. Taking 5 minutes of your day to focus on Diaphragmatic breathing (deep breaths) counter the effects of stress by slowing down our heart rates releasing held tension and lowering blood pressure
3. Exercise in any form whether it be running, walking, yoga or weight lifting helps to reverse the effects of stress by releasing “feel good” hormones into the body
4. Music has been known to be very calming and soothing so creating a playlist of songs that relax and clam you down can be a good and effective way to reduce stress and anxiety
5. Taking a few minutes everyday to clear your mind. Meditation can help to wipe away stress associated with your day and bring you inner peace and calmness
