Palliative Care vs. Hospice Care — What’s the Difference? 💛

As our community prepares for the future opening of Kay Blair Hospice, we want to help families understand the care options available to them. Palliative care can begin at any stage of a serious life-limiting illness, while hospice care is a specialized form of palliative care for those nearing the end of life.

Sharing this knowledge ensures families can make compassionate, informed decisions when they need it most. Our goal is to bring understanding, clarity, and dignity to the conversations surrounding end-of-life care — long before our doors open.

A Monumental Moment for Our Community 💛

We are deeply grateful to Mayor Patrick Brown, Councillor Navjit Kaur Brar, Councillor Paul Vicente, and Councillor Gurpartap Singh Toor for their incredible support during our signing ceremony at Brampton City Hall.

This milestone brings us one step closer to creating Brampton’s first-ever hospice residence — a warm, home-like setting where individuals and families can find comfort, compassion, and dignity during life’s final journey.

On September 27, our first Legacy of Love Gala raised $250,000 to bring Brampton’s first-ever hospice closer to reality! 💛 A transformative $100,000 gift from Tire World Inc. set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

Held at Terrace on the Green, the gala featured inspiring speeches, entertainment, and a special announcement from Mayor Patrick Brown celebrating the donation of 1.7 acres of land for the new 12-bed hospice.
