WAYS TO CUT YOUR ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE RISK

Avoid saturated fats and trans fats: Dairy products, meats, and certain oils contain saturated fat. Many snacks, pastries, and fried foods are filled with trans fats.

Eat a healthy diet: Vegetables, legumes (beans, peas, and lentils), fruits, and whole grains should be staples in your diet.

Make vitamin B12 a priority: Eat fortified foods or take a supplement to get at least the recommended daily allowance as per the recommendation of your doctor.

Choose your multivitamins wisely: Avoid multivitamins with iron and copper, and take iron supplements only when directed by your doctor.

Cook with caution: Avoid aluminum cookware, which has been linked to Alzheimer's-related dementia. Instead, choose stainless steel or cast iron pots and pans.

Keep moving: Get at least 40 minutes of aerobic exercise three times a week - such as brisk walking, running, or cycling.

Ways to manage and reduce caregiver stress:
1. Set daily goals: Breakdown your week into daily goals and then prioritize, make lists and establish a daily routine.
2. Exercise regularly: Schedule your time each day to do some type of physical activity.
3. Eat a healthy, balanced diet: Unhealthy eating
patterns can cause stress levels to skyrocket and potentially increase your risk of health problems in the future.
4. Get plenty of sleep: Not getting quality sleep over a long period of time can cause health issues.
5. Join a support group: If you’re feeling alone and overwhelmed, finding a local support group can provide connection and interaction, as well as problem-solving strategies for difficult situations.
6. Take a well-deserved break: Everyone needs time away to relieve stress and restore energy.
7. Keep your doctor appointments: Make it a priority to see your doctor regularly to discuss any concerns or symptoms you have.

♡ If you feel like socially withdrawing yourself from your friends, family or colleagues.
♡ Feeling a sense of hopelessness .
♡ Your negative emotions began dominating your positive emotions repeatedly.
